Case study for menopause programme

"When I first signed up to Maximise your Menopause, I was lost and didn’t know who I was anymore. I was in perimenopause, on HRT and trying to navigate my own way through this change in my life and body.

​

I needed more support and guidance and felt this was my time to gain control of who I was. After all no-one was going to do it for me!

​

That was where my journey began. My first big takeaway was to forget about calorie counting and scales, which is something I’d always been told to do. Instead, I learned to fuel my body correctly which was initially a big shift but not that hard in the end.

​

I also learned how to manage my stress levels, which were affecting my hormones; how to move my body as a 40+ year old woman, which I had never been taught; and how to support my health by adding the right supplements for me and avoid certain hormone disruptors I had at home.​

​

The programme was cleverly done, because I built up my daily routine with the small habits that I had learned from each step, so it was a gradual change and nothing too overwhelming.

​

At first, I didn’t notice any physical changes, but I was starting to feel different. Brain fog started to lift, energy started to increase, and my hormones felt more balanced. I actually started to feel a better and happier person.

​

With Nicola’s support and encouragement, I started to believe in the process and this journey. I’ve had bumps in the road when things haven’t gone to plan, but Nicola and the group never judged me, were there to pick me up and always made me believe in myself.

​

Fast forward 6 months and I feel amazing! I’m so content and happy with who I am. I’ve lost weight and lowered my blood pressure. This journey has been amazing and if I can do it, anyone can."
